No BAKE, Easy BITES!- Eat Well. Nutribug*-*

Want a sweet treat that is rich in nutrients and health benefits? Try these ENERGY BITES. These NO-BAKE Energy bites are packed with goodness. Not only are they sweet but they are made with ingredients guaranteed to optimize your HEALTH! I topped it with a little bit of icing to give it that extra sweet kick but you can have them, just plain and simple. They are made with oats (fiber) and peanut butter (good source of protein). This is just one of many reasons to get back in the kitchen and get back to the basics. Give these delights a try!!



HEALTH BENEFITS of ENERGY BITES!
* Good source of FIBER, oats help with digestive system and help lower blood cholesterol
* Contains Flax Seed, a recommended Metabolizing FOOD! Good source of healthy fats, while promotes healthy digestion
* Chocolate helps with mood and helps you feel "HAPPY"
* Rich balance of carbohydrate-protein ratio (peanut butter and oats), ideal for weight maintenance
* Increases "fullness", because of protein profile


Ingredients: 
1 cup of Old Fashion Oats
1 cup of Coconut Flakes
1/2 cup of Natural Peanut Butter
1/2 cup of Flax Seed
1/2 cup of Chocolate Chips
1/3 cup of Honey
1 teaspoon of Vanilla Extract (you can use almond too)


Directions: 
1.Mix all ingredients in one large bowl. 
2. Wrap and place in fridge for 30 minutes to cool. 
3. Once cool, roll into small balls (your size of preference). 
4. Ready to eat, serves 25-30. 
5. I stage them in cupcake holders. Nice added look!

This ENERGY BITE recipe, slightly modified was found through Energy Bite Recipe. It grabbed my attention and decided to try. Can't get enough of these small treats. I even mix in other dried fruits or nuts and can have them for breakfast, mid day snack or dessert. Have fun with it! The road to healthy eating and well being is not easy, let me help you along the way.
