But now the cat is well and truly out of the bag as Scarlett Johansson turned up to the Captain America: The Winter Solider premiere positively glowing after producers confirmed that she is, in fact, pregnant.
The 29-year-old actress hit the red carpet last night dressed in a white sheer lace corset and figure hugging skirt – revealing a hint of her blossoming baby bump.
While Scarlett has been dodging questions from journalists about her reported 5 month pregnancy left, right and centre, Kevin Feige, producer of upcoming sequel ‘The Avengers: Age of Ultron,’ let slip that she is indeed expecting.

He told Collider.com: 'Well my first reaction was I was very happy for her and very excited for her.
“My second reaction was we've got to move some pieces on the chess board around schedule-wise.
“But we didn't change the script at all, which is sort of the most important things for us in terms of the storyline.”
During a press conference for Captain America earlier this week, the star managed to avoid a series of loaded questions about her supposed pregnancy.
One reporter asked: "Many actresses say that the industry changed when they became mums, perhaps not so much action roles, not so femme fatale. Do you think it's something that can happen with you?"
