Love Generation Pin-Up Pefume

Peaches by Justin Bieber ft. Daniel Caesar & Giveon

I bought this on a whim. Apparently, some people think this perfume smells a bit like Chanel Allure, and since that particular French house perfume is on my list to buy - I thought, in the meantime, I may as well try a "dupe". I mean £10 for 6oml vs £86 for 50ml, sounds like a good deal to me?!

Before testing "Pin-Up" perfume, I had not even heard of the brand/franchise - so, all I was going on was 2 upvotes on Fragrantica and a head full of curiosity. I wouldn't say I'm a gambling woman but, I do have my risky moments. Love Generation Pin-Up perfume was a gamble - and luckily, it paid off.

The Scent: Love Generation Pink-Up perfume is comprised of the following notes ...

early noughties cartoon artwork with a liver-shaped bottle - nice.
Perfumes Manifesto - "Love Generation is a feminine concentrate. An addictive, playful and multi-faceted cocktail for young fashionistas who are always daring, spontaneous and glamorous.

Top Notes - Bergamot & Mandarin

Middle Notes - Rose & Jasmine

Base Notes - Sandalwood, Patchouli & Musk

I find that the scent is lightly floral, mildly sweet, clean and fresh, with a mild musk - it's not particularly ornate and luxurious but, there's still something alluringly pretty to it ... which I just can't put my finger onI'm not sure how similar "Pin-Up" is to Allure by Chanel - since I don't have it in my collection to compare but, I feel like Pin-Up has a similar DNA to Joy Intense by Dior, which is one of my beloved perfumes.  Simply put - I liked it so much I rebought 2 more, so it definitely does something right.

Scent - sweet, pretty, light, addictive

Price - reasonable

Accessibility - okay,  I bought it via Notino so whilst I've never seen this brand in a store I can repurchase it online

Longevity - not the greatest - 2-3hrs on the skin at best, and it doesn't last well on clothes either. Also, I think it has a pheromonal quality to it so, whilst the smell might fade for me - it still "adds to my overall scent" and I think other people may notice it - which counteracts its weak stamina.

Dupes - similar  "DNA" to Joy Intense by Dior (meaning it has that addictive scrumptious "I want to bathe in this for a lifetime" kinda smell), BUT they are not similar in the sense that they are dupes (I wish!).

Occasion - for me this is an easy everyday scent and I would wear this for all occasions, and I have the backups to prove this.

Packaging - unique! I like it but, I clumsily dropped it a few times, and now have a loose cap (ain't that annoying) - otherwise, it's functional and sturdy and sprays a fine delicate mist.

Overall Thoughts - I love it. It works nicely on its own or with other fragrances as a base (I can mix some fragrance oils with it in a sprayer and create my own addictive concoctions). It ain't too loud and bodacious but, it ain't a wuss either.  Currently, I'm enjoying it as my go-to and I'm enjoying the process.

RRP - Usually £10 and under
